Sculptra Aesthetic works by both filling in lines and wrinkles and by stimulating the body to produce new collagen and underlying tissue, thereby creating a fuller, more youthful appearance.
What is Sculptra™?
Sculptra Aesthetic is made of poly-L-lactic acid, the same material used for dissolvable sutures.
In Sculptra Aesthetic, the product stimulates collagen by "irritating" your existing collagen to speed the production of more.
Sculptra™ stimulates the body’s own collagen to give you a fuller, younger-looking face. Sunken cheeks, temple indentations, and hollows under the eyes regain lost volume over time with Sculptra. No skin testing is required.
Sculptra provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas. Volume effects have persisted in numerous patients for over 3 years.
An average cosmetic patient is encouraged to have 2-3 treatments, scheduled 6 weeks apart. You can expect to see results about 4 weeks after the first session of Sculptra.
