Rosacea Treatments

Rosacea, a common condition, is composed of reddish areas on the skin. Symptoms may also include pink or irritated eyes.

Rosacea is often easy to treat. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) can decrease the flushing, redness, and blood vessels associated with rosacea. Typically, 3 to 4 treatments are required. Topical and oral medicines, used alone or in conjunction with IPL, can also greatly improve rosacea-prone skin.

Some patients who develop enlargement of the nose from rosacea, a condition called rhinophyma, may need carbon dioxide laser to adequately remove the thickened skin.
